Gameplay wise, Morrowind beats Oblivion in many aspects. I run Oblivion heavily modded as well and can honestly say that my Morrowind game looks vastly superior to a stock Oblivion and is within striking distance of my HEAVILY modded Oblivion graphics wise. If there is something you want to add/change/modify or drastically alter to this game, there are simply at least a hundred of them that will do exactly that, pick the one you fancy most.
